In a quiet village, surrounded by green fields, Arfan Familys Smiling Baby Foundation started on November 15, 2015. The story behind this organization is touching and deeply emotional, connected to its founder, M.A. Arfan.
Not long before, Arfan and his wife were excited to become parents. They welcomed two beautiful baby girls into their lives. But their joy quickly turned to sorrow. Due to neglect at a government hospital and lack of money for proper care, both daughters passed away—one after nine days and the other after thirty days. The pain of losing them was unimaginable, leaving their hearts broken.
From this deep sadness, a new determination arose. MA. Arfan promised himself that no other parent should have to suffer like he did. He decided to help orphans and underprivileged children, bringing smiles and hope to their lives. This led to the creation of the "Arfan Familys Smiling Baby Foundation."
The foundation began with just 14 children and two volunteers. With support from the local community and dedicated volunteers, it started to grow. M.A. Arfan’s father, the late Abdur Rashid, provided guidance and encouragement, helping the organization succeed.
In 2016, the foundation officially became a registered non-profit organization with recognition from the Australian government. The small tin shed transformed into a modern three-story building, complete with classrooms, a library, and computer facilities.
Today, through MA. Arfan’s hard work and love, the foundation has made a difference in the lives of many children. The memory of his daughters inspires him, as the Arfan Family's Smiling Baby Foundation continues to bring hope and a brighter future to countless children in need.
